SOLD OUT Sunday 10th April for 7 pm: Goodwood House, Chichester PO18 0PX

The Bernardi Music Group performs a popular classical programme to celebrate Speed and Flight, featuring baritone and composer Roderick Williams. The programme will include the world première of his ‘Goodwood Variations.’ Maria Marchant will perform Mozart Piano Concert no.12 and flautist Bruce Martin a Vivaldi Concerto to complement the Canalettos. All proceeds from tickets, and from the auction conducted by Rupert Toovey, will be donated to the Friends of Sussex Hospices. £75 / capacity 200

Fizzing with humour and sparkling music, Donizetti’s Don Pasquale is generally considered the finest example of Italian comic opera. The opera sees an old man get what he deserves as he is setup, and outwitted by a pair of young lovers. With the help of Dr Malatesta, who helps coordinate the elaborate con, the young lovers turn their bleak prospects into a comic revenge that features Italian lyricism and energy at its best. Opera Holloway are delighted to have Baritone Alex Otterburn and Soprano Callie Swarbrick in the cast, both of whom have starred in Donizetti productions with Opera Holloway previously.
